XC colours...Is this over the top?????

Lady Lion.......horrid name so been nicknamed Lady Bug (BUG).

So XC colours Red Top, black spots down the arms, Lady Bug written on the lower back of top, matching hat cover, and red saddle cloth with black spots on it.

Now this I'm happy with but do I add, red tendon boots with black straps and same on the hinds but brushing boots....or do I stick to her black ones, I have a set of red donkey ears for her which she wears all the time when ridden, do i put them on too? :confused:

She is dark bay TB.

Is all the boots and ears etc....a step to far, hope when she grows up she'll be doing at least Pre-Novice. (Hopefully, might only ever do dressage but we'll look nice hacking!!!!!):rolleyes:
 
It sounded great and very original until i hit the part about the EARS!! are you mad - actual false fluffy donkey ears?! do you have a photo of said mare sporting ears just to make sure I havent got it wrong!? :D the rest sounds fab but if you want to be doing pre novice and onwards you may find you need more than brushing boots behind, with the boots, i'd go for quality over colour any day. Hope that helps
 
Who gives a stuff what anyone else thinks? Your horse and your colours, do whatever you want. She doesn't care what she's wearing. But then you are talking to a girl here who used to hack out her posh KWPN in a hot pink saddlecloth and matching boots :D

I've got the same and thinks it looks brill!! Mind you all my stable/trailer equipment etc is black and red so maybe it's me who's gone a bit far.....

:D OMG i'm rolling around..lmfao thank you so much for that image, what i meant was the red fly ears you get, showjumpers wear them alot!!!!!

But you have really made my day, thank you!!!!

I don't have pic's yet as i've just designed it and planning on buying it all, just wanted to know what you guys thought.....
quality of boots will always be top of the list over the colour, but they will be red if they come in that colour!!!!!

I have to say - where cross country colours are concernd - the brighter and bolder the better! I love seeing horse and riding whizzing round in matching outfits and in my case, it makes me easier to find in the grass :D
 
Never thought about it that way...... finding me in the grass!!!! now that is a thought, maybe i should add some flashing lights to that and a whistle!!!!

IP what Army Bks, i'm in Blandford. Civi working in HR.....well clearly not working as i'm on here.

Will get photos done as soon as i have got all the stuff, think i am going to go the whole hog on this now.

Can't it just! :D

My pairs xc fun parner is doing the sam ecolours but doing stars instead of spots.....I have to do spots, not going to be a Lady Bug otherwise.

I was in but only lasted 5 years!!!! couldn't wait to get out...money is crap in civi street though and i married a man in debit!!! now have four horses so totally skint. lol

You settling local when he's out?
