XC hat recommendations

I am looking to get a hat in the hope of doing some XC soon, and would really appreciate some recommendations. I have to order online, or maybe I can find a shop who will order on my behalf, because I live in a part of the world where you rarely see anyone in a skull cap as you can compete in all kinds of helmets, so most people are in GPAs, Samshields etc. (shudders) for XC.

I have a GPA Little Lady and an Uvex Perfexxion. The last XC hat I had was a Just Togs (yes, over ten years ago) and I know I had a Charles Owen before that, but it's going back a bit! I can't say that I remember either of those fitting particularly, well.

Any ideas what I could give a go? Anyone have the GPA and a XC helmet? I love the idea of MIPS but I have no idea even whether I'd be a round or oval fit in the Charles Owen and I don't want to spend a fortune on ordering and returns.

I have the Charles Owen 4 star which is great, and really safe for xc. Fits me really well too

Another vote for Charles Owen - I would definitely try and get fitted though!

Must get fitted. It depends on your head shape. OH had Owen as my Gatehouse did not fit him. Both are cross country standard hats.

I'm in France and they don't have properly trained fitters - I usual pick up my hats when I'm back in the UK but that's a non-starter right now I don't mind ordering a few but don't want to spend a fortune having to send them back so trying to whittle it down first. Thanks!

In that case, I'd stick with a brand that you know fits.
That said, I've found gatehouse, charles owen and kep all fit me pretty much the same
My Charles owen pro 2 has a changeable liner so you could adjust a size without needing a new hat if need be
