Thank you!! Do you eventing - type people think aiming to get him round an intro is realistic? He is quite often placed at Prelim/Novice dressage these days, and jumps 2'9 and 3'0 classes at unaffiliated, has also jumped a couple of BN and one Disc on a ticket (had a few poles but partly my nerves to blame!)

I would think you would easily take him Intro if not straight out at Pre Novice.
He looks bold and jumps well, covers the ground nicely

I would def take him

I was thinking maybe at the end of this season/start of next!! What are good ones to start at locally do you think? I'm in Henley. Not bothered about the SJ/Dress, need a nice friendly xc course though - didn't get any video of him slamming brakes on at a 3'0 drainage pipe on this lesson!
Pre -novice?? Scary stuff. Doubt you get many pure bred arabs at your average BE event though, at least we'd stand out!!

You will find you get all sorts of horses going round at PN and even above.
I watched a fabulous looking horse who must have been part cob or shire doing the intermediate at Gatcombe - he was smashing!

Oo not far from me. Well if you can get to Aston le Walls in Northants (about 40 mins from Junction 9 of the M40)

Milton Keynes, Snowball Farm.

Shame you should have entered the unaffiliated Intro at Tweseldown next weekend.

Either of those would be cool actually, go to snowball quite often for their unaffiliated winter stuff, also going to MKEC for our Riding club camp so can check out their jumps

Thinking about the XC at snowball at the end of the month - doing the mini one at BCA this weekend (RC Liaison trophy) so going to see how that goes. Might have to brave the 85cm course which I gues would probably be similar to their intro course?
Tweseldown sounds good, shame I missed it. Do you know if they run it again or not til next year?
Aston le Walls would be fine distance-wise, quite happy to travel, once he is in he is agood traveller, just a stubborn loader sometimes!

Oh yes forgot BCA do intro

They normally only run this one ODE at Tweseldown.

Ascot Under Wychwood (sp) are running a PN and INtro this year too (near CHipping norton)

When I say the little one at BCA, I mean the 2'3 to 2'6

Will have to go and check out the BE website, I doubt I will ever properly affiliate him as can't afford it, but would be a laugh to have a go at one or two on a ticket....who knows, we might just fall in love with it
