Took the horror pony to Little Downham to school around their BE90 course yesterday. I was a little cautious as it was our first time schooling over anything I consider large ( ;) ) without an instructor. Thankfully D was awesome and the friend I had roped in to be chief 999 caller could leave her phone firmly in her pocket :D We worked our way round the entire course and just had two stops (which for us is a minor miracle) and for once they can both be forgive - the first a complete jockey failure and the second a genuine green fence at the final fence on course which has a fairly tricky profile and was actually at the BE100 height. Thankfully she popped both happily the second time :)

She appears to have just about stopped looking like a show horse but now started looking like she has a giant head!

Always got to force myself over a trakhener whenever there is one - bloody hate the things!

Ruining all the hard work I'd done cleaning her earlier in the day!

Ooh you look great :) I love that picture over the tyres!

On an unrelated note... how do you get on with that fly mask? I often see them and think they're a great idea but our connie is an avid mask loser/destroyer so I don't want to buy a more expensive one just to give him more fun and games!!!

Thanks PaddyMonty and LJR :)

LouisCat I really like it. She can get it off (I leave it loose as I don't like them not to be able to get things off in case the get caught etc) but very rarely does, maybe 2 or 3 times this year? Other horses on the yard have the equilibrium and shires masks and they seem to come off more often. The other one that is similar but a bit more streamline is the noble outfitters one - I haven't tried it but it looks good. I think KLM might do a copy of the Rambo ones D's wearing about that I suspect would be cheaper? (I got mine second hand ;) )
