Lovely day out to a local xc course today. He's still a tad sticky over new fences but he'll always have a go. He's getting more confident every time out and was a bit more forward today, especially if he has a lead. We may not win prizes for speed or gracefulness but he gets full marks for being honest and straightforward. We did some newer and meatier fences (for me, anyway) so was v chuffed.

The Good

Rocking the matchy and looking rather handsome here

The biggest fence of the day, doesn't look that big here but it's big to me!

The Bad

Our first attempt at the hedge, no idea what he's doing, maybe trying to eat the hedge on the way?

And the Ugly

A picture tells a thousand words...this one says, special.

Looks like great fun. Loving the Woof boots ;)

Where was this?

Haha, thanks all. He looks mental doesn't he?! It's coursers farm, London colney just off the m25. Only 20 mins away and £15 to hire for an unlimited time. I should go more often, I'm always complaining there aren't enough places near me.

Oooo, that's not overly far from me. Maybe we should meet up there one day. It would about a 40 min hop for me :)

I looked up Coursers Farm and it's not very far away from where I bought my first horse :)

Ooh. Possibly close to me then. Where did you get him/her? It's fairly horsey country and there are lots of local yards that I know of. Great Westwood is next on my list, haven't been there since last year and they've got some new jumps I think.

It was a little place called Raybrook Farm not that far from RVC at Brookman's Park. Their summer grazing was at Welham Green.

Great Westwood is another I'm planning to do soon. Actually. Friend of mine is organising some schooling with Lisa Keys at (I think Gt Westwood) should I let you know when ?
