Well i have had a great but very eventful day!!

Got up the yard to get him ready, all was going fine, went to load him up and he can be a pain. HE went to walk in and then plated, so people who were helping me ran a lunge leed behing him when he decided to walk sideways of the ramp and drag me around. YO went and chucked on a pressure halter and he went straight on, he showed me how to put it on and off we went.

Tacked and booted him up and on i got jsut as my instructor turned up.

There were loads of others there so we had to keep moving around to warm him up and settle im as he gets a bit looky and excited when at parties lol.

Just started over some smaller jumps to get im listening.

Then here comes the oopsie, We were jumping over just a small spread like fance and then instructor said now come round and do the corner!!

I have never jumped a corner out xc have done in the school, and i was like well might aswell try(i think i wa mad because when i looked at it after i was like hmm thats quite big lol). got our canter going and came up to it, i felt him back of so i gave him a sqeeze and he launched himself!!! It took me by total suprise and i ended up flying through the air landing on his neck and promptyl on the floor haha. . .i will post a picture when they have uploaded, but got back on and did it again and was fine lol.

Carried on stringing fences together and he just kept pinging. Went on to jump a small Takenar (SP?) as instructor thought as he is a bit ditchy this would be the best way to get him used to them. Jumped this really well and have some lovely piccies.

Moved on to do step and water combinations which he just locks onto and it all just flowed. . . .

Had a very good day with the lad and boosted my confidence with him as have been having a bit of a wobble. . .

We dropped horse of home and were on our way to take the trialor back when we suddenly heard a huge crash and a huge grinding smell. Got out very quickly and the stupid jockey wheel had dropped and bent!! grrr. . . .

So we had to make a massive detour to get a replacement, as we didnt want to return the trailor broken. But got this fixed and luckily our friend saw the funny side of things and laffed it off.

So all in all a very good day, very tired now and feel a bit battered from my fall, but life goes on hehe. .

Great pics - he looks very keen

Love your pic of the jump into the water - he looks perfect and so does your position.

Shame about the whoopsie!! He was doing a great big jump over!!!

It's horrible when you realise that you're flying higher in the air than they are....as you never quite know whether they're still going to be underneath you when you land!!
