Wish me luck!
I'm off to Twizell Hall today to do their XC ride - 4-5 miles with over 70 jumps and 3 water complexes! I've been once before but just plodded round and jumped a few but now that Jenny is jumping so well I feel I want to give a real bash today. I only hope she doesn't get too razzed up by it all and turn into a loon! Especially as I'm meeting a friend of a friend there who I've never met before so don't want her to think me and Jen are some sort of nut jobs!
Sorry had to share because I've been looking forward to this all week and it even looks like we might have decent weather for it too.

Thanks guys - I had a really nice time.
Jenny jumped really well - we jumped all the small options and a couple of the big ones.
The friend of a friend was really nice and the horses seemed to like each other too. Jen was relatively calm to jump but did get uptight when we had to queue to go through the water jumps etc - she's not one to get her feet wet at the best of times so she was a bit fidgety and rude when we were hanging around but absolutely fine to jump. She had a good look at the castle jump as she flew over it and I could feel her thinking are you sure this is a jump as we jumped through the middle of the giant polo mints at the end - but bless her she's always dead genuine and jumps what she's pointed at.
So now I just have to arrange to keep going - I think the more she goes the calmer she's likely to get XC - and I think I might be getting the bug again.
Hope all this XC practice jazzes up her dressage tests tomorrow. LOL
