Our riding club would like to purchase one of those little boxes which can have two timers running at the same time, as well as being stop/startable independently. Currently using stopwatches for HT and ODEs. Problem being we can't find any info/places to buy- have tried google with variations on timing box/equipment/british eventing/ cross country etc. Any ideas?

contact BE direct, ask what they use? wish i'd known yesterday, could have checked on the make of them at Little Downham! you could email one of BE's TAs or TDs and ask them, iirc they usually have custody of those timing box things.

They are made by a company called Optimum Time.(http://www.optimumtime.co.uk/OE-Timesaver set.html) Ideally you need a minimum of two (one each for the start & finish) & so all you'd need would be a master clock & two slaves- you will need to synchronise the slave to the master at the start of day for each event. If you can run to a few of the stopwatches too they can be given to fence judges , so that they can record the time that each horse passes them. That information is REALLY useful when competitors are adamant that they could possibly have been that quick/slow & are protesting that the timekeepers must have made a mistake!! (The fence judge watches are aslo synchronised to the master clock at the start of the day)

Thanks Kerilli. Will ask a BE organiser/Regional director to check we get the right set-up. Zebedee- thanks for the link, that's exactly the thing. Simple when someone knows the answer!
