XC - What boots?

Personally I just use my Mark Todd brushing boots and a pair of overreach boots but then I'm not riding at any sort of level yet. I would definitely boot behind just to stop any scrapes if they drop a back leg a litle.

I thought boots on front and behind would be best. I'm going to have to try Mystic with back boots again, I had to stop putting them on as he was cutting himself when wearing them, never did work out how, will have to see if it still happens

Cuts, or rubs?

Dizz has Tri-Zone Cross Country boots, but I don't know yet if I rate them....

Little Cob has Woof Wear Ultra front and back. Lightweight, will dry quickly, etc.: I asked in Comp Riders and they seemed a popular choice. Not had chance to use them yet as LC tied up :(, but hopefully will do before the end of the year.

little cuts, on his heel behind, im not very good at explaining but if it happens when i put them on later i will take a picture. He hasn't had them on for a while.

I have bought some Premier Equine sports boots in the sale which has sadly finished now. here is the link. http://www.premierequine.co.uk/acatalog/Air_Cooled_Eventing_Boots.html

I bought them as I wanted white xc boots that didn't absorb water and that had the airflow holes as my friend who's a newly qualified physio said her lecturer at university has drummed into them about how XC boots have a knack of overheating tendons and many tendon problems are caused for this reason alone. I wanted white as my bright bay horse has a white blaze, and four white socks and looks very smart with a white saddlecloth and white boots XC but I know Premier Equine also do these botos in black.

My friend has taught me so much about what she has learnt through her vet physio course and if this latest research highlights a problem with boots overheating tendons then it would seem to me obvious to buy some that counteract this problem.
