I strongly suggest YOU DON'T DO THIS!!!

this one is take about 2 months after I did it. Not only can you see clearly the fractures but also that there is a lovely clean joint straight across.

2nd one only 5 months later you can see bone healing however the joint is not clean (arthritis) I can see now why the specialist said he has only seen this amount after 5 years NOT 5 months!!! Its been 2 months since this one was taken. (the one done yesterday is not clear enough to show you) so I dread to think how much has happened in last 2 months

Oh blimey! You poor thing!

Your fracture is the same as what I did back in august, slipping on a mountain, except i trashed all the syndesmodic ligaments as well and so had to have a scaffolding screw put between my fib and tib! Oops! Fortunately mine seems to have healed well, but I will have to have another op next year to tidy up all the bits they didn't sort in the first op.

Afraid I remember those broken ankle days only too well.

Came a cropper eventing many years ago and ended up with a Potts fracture and 13 breaks in my fibia. Many screws and plates and a couple of operations later I now have about 80% movement in my ankle.

They're really interesting. Is the bit sticking out towards your other bone going to bother you do you think? Would imagine it would get in the way of ligaments & tendons and maybe cach on the other bone?
 
Bones seem to do that, around my broken bit its hugely lumpy

. Mine isn't near a joint though so apart from being slighly odd looking and really sensitive its not caused a problem.
