The vet seemed to think there might be some hope of her coming sound with some treatment so am going to talk to my insurance company tomorrow

So I have 2 horses that at best are semi retired.

I started looking for another horse back in February because I felt then that 0ldmare might need to take it easy soon, but only saw 2 and got disheartened. (one bucked like a flippin bronco and the other only bore a very passing resemblence to his photo - ie he WAS chestnut)

I just don't know whether I have the energy to look for another, get lied to and then go through all the 'getting to know each' other stage. But the alternative is to give up or accept the very ocassional meander on 0ldmare when/if she is up to it

Oh I don't know, everything is not going well. Mum in hospital and I am worried sick about her, horses both lame (although to be fair one is LOU and has been unrideable for years) and even the cat has joined in and has an infection requiring large vet bill

Sorry very depressing and pointless post, perhaps I should go to bed!

Tell me to get a grip for goodness sake!

Thanks kildalton, they do say things go in 3's don't they

Before I lost heart horse hunting back in February I was looking for a 15 -16hh capable of doing a bit of showing, RC dressage and hacking. Doesn't have to jump really. Just a nice straight forward horse that enjoys an easy pampered life

At least my budget is gradually growing over the months so I might even be able to afford her soon!

Naah, not the little filly - I'm keeping that one, besides she is lame as a duck and won't be showing when she recovers as the scar most probably be horrendous - that is IF she comes sound.

The bay gelding I meant, still have him and you can deffo afford him lol.
