Just had to post!

Finally found a nice trailer in budget!

It's delivered next week and looks to be a right bargain :). 2005 Indespension Monarch, used very lightly.

Does anyone know of any common faults with these for BF to be aware of when giving it a good check/service (he is an agricultural engineer so more than able to sort it :) ).

Excited!!!! (Ooh and it was only £1250!!)

EBay (as above chappie is a capable sort, just nice to have a bit of an idea of regular problems for him to pay extra attention to)

I used to have an indespension. It was a really lovely trailer. The horse trailers aren't made any more but they do still make other trailers so you can get parts. They have their own patented suspension system so give a really smooth ride. That's the one thing you need to really check out with them, as if the axles get worn they are expensive to replace because of the built in suspension. Mine was fine, but a friend's wore out and it was more than the trailer was worth to fix.

Nice trailers :)

I hate to say it but I wouldn't touch the Indespension system with a bargepole - if it is the stub axle system I knew it as. I had a trailer with this system - a stub axle inside a hefty rubber bush to dampen the ride. The rubber bush perished (unknown to me or anyone who serviced it) and all the concussion was going direct to the steel stub axle. It eventually failed and it, and the wheel, broke off. Fortunately I didn't have a horse in it when it happened.

How old was the trailer when this happened?
