Yes was going to say he is of whittaker horseboxes, father of jordan, such a hure tragedy. John etc are spelled differently. I read about it and it is horrible.
Found the following on a website, a quote from an SJ rider. 'Following last weeks good news of great success in Saumur at the Pony European Championships, comes some bad news as one of the squad members and two family members were involved in a car crash. Luckily Jordan Whittaker, mother and sister all walked away from the accident with just a few broken bones but very shaken from the experience. We are all thankful that the crash wasnt more serious and that Jordan and family are OK'
That does not read as if someone died. Was it a seperate crash or is this insensitive?
hmm not sure all i got was a text from someone at a pony show at norton heath (i think) saying he had died in a car crash. I presume she founf out from other pony riders at the show.
If it was him i should think it will be in HH shortly but if the familt were all there he wouldnt have got them all in a ferrari so maybe is someone else who died.

Well, actually the 612 Scaglietti is a 4-seater vehicle, although i don't know if that was the model of car involved in this crash. I was under the impression that Jordan was the only other passenger though. Poor girl will live with what she saw for the rest of her life
I'm confused, is this a recent death because I was noseying in the Rowallan Junior show results for Hogmanay as I was looking for my friends daughters results and I happened to notice the name Yan Whitaker as an owner and had wondered if they were part of the Whittaker dynasty?

The crash happenned around midnight on 2nd Jan...
They are not THE Whitakers as in John, Michael, Robert, Ellen etc fame, but Whittakers as in Whittaker horseboxes.

You will have seen Yan's name as the owner of Grey Palace or My Bugsy Malone - they have recently (after HOYS) sold these 2 ponies, but they were jumping at Rowallan with their new owners. (not changed registration yet).
