having signed up and popped an ad on for a rider, I then discovered I will have to spend a minimum of 70 quid to contact someone who has expressed an interest, no ifs about it

Fine if I was a big yard using it regularly (its a 6month rent, 110 for a 12 month!) but I'm not, which means I will not be able to contact interested people which is highly frustrating and they can't contact me either!

Im registered on there.... as a guest member, which is free, it is only full members who have to pay hun

You can still contact other people with guest membership too.

It is free, but you cant contact applicants to your add unless you pay £70, unless I'm missing something?

I think thats how it works for guest yards unfortunately. Sometimes I have seen yards get round it by slipping phone numbers into the info section but I don't know how tight they are with this.

It is free, I got a job on there and didn't pay a penny, shame it didn't work out. I '*think* that if the employer is also a guest member the someone has to pay but TBH most employers put their yard name on so you can just contact them outside of the site.

ah...ok, just checked, if you are a guest member and the other person is a full member you can have full contact with them, and vice versa, but if you are both guest members then you are pretty restricted.

try careergrooms.com, that's free I think, and you can put an ad up for just a rider. I've seen a few.
