My birthday is coming up and I'd like a pair of yard boots as mine have died (Toggi blenheims, the waterproof liner has worn through and now I get wet feet)
What can you recommend? I have a budget of approx £150 and they have to be waterproof and warmer than wellies (don't need to be full-on fleecy lined)
I heard good things about muck boots but tried them on and I think they will press on a particularly sensitive pressure point on my ankle.

Ariats best boots I have owned. They are always waterproof and warm and I not only use them up yard but walk dog on beach everyday.:D
Offer on ebay for grasmeres normally 265 now 165;0

Never tried the Ariats, but swear by Muck Boots! Am on my second pair the Derwent, they do take a little getting used to, but I find them extrememly comfortable. Have you a local supplier to try different ones on? If you're looking at the more casual boot, how about the Dublin Pinnacle or River boots?

Hi I wouldn't recommend dublin boots had river & pinnacle boots & the lining ripped within 6 months - I know have ariats they are a bit more expensive but worth it :)

I've worked in my local saddlery for nearly 3 years now and we sell alot of the Dublin River and Pinnacle boots, I've never had anyone come back and say the linings gone, maybe they were a bad batch? Did you take them back to where you bought them?

I did get a pair of Ariat zip short boots many, many years ago and still use them now, so would recommend them too!

I have ariat windermeres. The first pair broke within a few months and started leaking. Sent them back and they sent me a new pair. This pair has lasted a year and completely died now. Massive hole now in it and leaking majourly. However, i didn't take very good care of them, just cleaned them and waterproofed them every now and again. Not gonna get another pair as, whilst they are very comfy and warm, cant afford to pay £140 every year.

Thanks rowy. That's the problem I had with my Toggi blenheims. Very comfortable but the waterproof lining wore through within about 8 months and that was the only thing that made them waterproof.

Well send them back should have 12 months warranty unless people make the manufacturers aware they have problems they wont improve their products did you ever treat the leather?

Brought at different times
My daughter had the dublin ones I had the pinnacles as I coudnt justify the ariats at time
- I has to prise my foot out the once with a wooden spoon -not happy - I should of taken them back but threw them out in dsgust - have talked to others & the same as happened to them - very pleased with ariats x

Would love to take them back but don't have the receipt any more. Yes I nikwaxed them several times but I think the water is coming in between the sole and the upper and also along the back seam so treating the leather wouldn't have prevented that.

I really like the look of the Taurus Gaucho boots but would be interested to hear any pro's or con's as they seem good value for money at £100.

I've got Tuffa Country Riders and they're lovely. Well within your budget and so comfy. I've worn mine through all kinds of weather and never had them leak.
