Does anyone know of boots that are tough enough to work on the yard all day, including getting in from muddy fields. Yet are neat enough to school in. I get fed up changing boots all the time and when I do splash out on an expensive pair I end up walking out into the fields in them and ruin them. I have got through 3 pairs of Toggi boots in one year as the zips go in them, zips seem to be my problem! I always waterproof boots whenever I get new ones. Any advice or experience would by very welcome

I ride in Muck Company Tyne boots - although they aren't particularly smart looking, they are fabulously comfortable, warm and totally waterproof. And, they don't have a zip! Although granted, sometimes it takes a bit of pulling and wiggling around to get them off when I've crammed them over four pairs of trousers in the winter

I paid almost £70 for them four years ago and they don't look at all worn (bar being covered in mud) and I often wear them 6 or 7 days a week for anything from an hour up to fourteen hours a day.

If I was looking for a pair of yard and riding boots I'd go for the Muck Boot Tyne, no question. I have the Muck Boot Tack (welly version) and they are FANTASTIC boots, tried the Tynes on at the weekend and they are equally comfy.

Thank you, that is the sort of answer I am looking for. I have never heard of these boots but will certainly look into them. I have my own livery yard and wear these boots from 7 a.m to 7 p.m. they have to be tough!

Another vote for Tyne Muckboots. I've got the riding ones and that's were the 'Tyne' comes from I think as there are welly ones too... Yum yum yum!

I also wear them for dog walking, farm work etc at uni for volunteering days,. They're toasty!
