What are everyone’s favourite yard boots?

Tried a few different brands and they only seem to last me a few months. The ones that have lasted me the longest were the Aldi ones!! Don’t really like wellies as my feet aren’t warm enough but they seem to be the only thing that lasts :/

I’m a relatively light user but I love my Ariat Windermeres. I bought them half a size larger and only wear with high wool content or cashmere socks as otherwise they can be difficult to get off after you’ve had them for awhile.

They’re warm, waterproof and comfortable. I ride in them too. However they are expensive. If I was a routine boot trasher I might think differently.

Neoprene lined wellies (and avoid the cheap ones, they don't last) are lovely and warm, I pretty much live in my Aigles. For drier ground/weather I have a pair of walking boots I bought from Countrywide, on my 2nd pair in 3 years but they were only around £35 so don't owe me much more than a year or two

Can I just check, you say half a size larger? I emailed Eileen Douglas online store and asked about sizing, and they advised to go down half a size than 'street' shoes, so now I'm confused! I'm a size 6/39 with fairly wide feet, was just about to buy a 5.5/38 but now you've made me think again!

I've got Grubb boots, the reinforced toecap & riding style ones and they have been brilliant. Am never going back to non-neoprene lining. For dry/summer wear I have chelsea boot style saftey boots. I can ride in them if I need to, and my feet feel more secure around a cob who might not always consider my need for toes.

this winter when not in wellies, I am in Tuffa Nordics and love em-dog walked, ridden, mucked out and spent one whole day at work in them when I forgot my work boots. I don't like wellies at all, so if I can get away with it wear short boots and over trousers.they come up small so you have to go up a whole size. they are waterproof, very warm, very grippy and won't rot.

Yes larger one reason was so I didn’t need to use a boot horn to get them on which I didn’t have to at first but after two years they’re a bit saggy and I need a boot horn now. No way I’d fit in half a size smaller especially with thick socks! All my other Ariats (I’m an Ariat lover) are 6/39. I’ve got Grasmeres, Devon Pros and Tellurides. Windermeres are 6.5/40 regular calf.

In my Windermeres today at -5 this morning nice and toasty.

Over the years I've tried numerous neoprene lined boots, all were ok for a couple of months or so but all eventually split, normally where the boot creases on top of the foot when you walk. This included prices right across the range. I now use rigger boots, made by 'Blackrock' in leather & I regularly rub dubbin into them to keep them waterproof. I've had them for 6 months or so & they have kept me warm & dry.......& all for the sum of £19.99 delivered. I don't spend much time walking in water though.

I have Ariat Windermere’s, I’ve had them 6 months and wear them constantly. They do all Farm jobs, mud, snow, dog walking and I ride in them too. Give them a scrub under the hose and you’re good to go. No leakages yet and my feet stay pretty warm.

Grubb boots for the field and Ariat Windermere for the yard, both have been dry and warm. Gave my Toggi boots and standard wellies the heave ho and won't be going back.

Dublin Pinnacles! They're very padded and warm but they can be difficult to get on and off, but they're a pleasure to wear when they're actually on :D :D

another vote for grubs - the neoprene ones are great. I went for the more conventional wellie from them this last time but wear over trousers so my legs aren't getting cold and the sole has 5mm of neoprene lining so that helps keep the feet warm.

Muck boots are great , not sure of the model , no good for riding but super warm for yard and long lasting . Got some ariat welly type things which are neoprene lined and roomy enough for my merino wool liners and seal skinz . Both well under £100. I've got ariat windermeres but they're too snug to wear decent socks with, and a pain to get on with my foot drop . Both welly types are smart and easy to clean .
