Morning :)

Last week we were told by the YO that we are changing to Baileys; basic food will now be the Everyday High Fibre mix and Lo Cal balancer.

I'm a bit concerned about the mix being described as a "moist muesli"

Anyway, back on point, is the lo cal balancer Ok for barefoot. I did notice that it contains molasses...

At the moment I am feeding a handful of micronised linseed as a base with a measure of youngstock balancer, hoof supplement, magnesium, yea-sacc and brewers yeast.

Blitz is currently under the vet for liver enzyme abnormalities.

I've fed Lo Cal to various unshod working horses for several years. They managed 8-10 miles hacks several times a week ( TB XWB's, ISH and Cobs).
It's very good and for my horse's, they did better on it than Equimins and Pro Hoof, both of which I tried for several months.
However, the grazing that different areas have, has been the most important variable in their hoof health, so what works for one, may not work for another.
Currently loving Formula4Feet for one of mine though but regarding Bailey's, I wouldn't panic without giving it a go.

It's possible you'll be ok with the Lo Cal... I had one of mine on it once, but his feet were much better on Forage Plus/Pro Hoof.

I'd be more worried about the mix, though. Wheat, barley, maize, molasses... doesn't make for pretty reading for a horse in light work!
