I decided to organise a comp at our yard, (big yard) Did'nt get as many entries as I would have liked, but even though it rained ALL day everyone seemed to really enjoy it, even the yard owner came over to watch!
Had a lead rein/walk and trot class for the kids that did'nt canter, then Jnr and Snr Prelim 7 and Novice 21. One of the dads took piccies, one of the mums was the steward, my friend was the dressage writer, and I did the bacon butties/brews and called tests! Managed to fit my tests in the middle - Madam May has 1 week to improve her behaviour or she is going on horsemart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She warmed up beautifully, looked lovely, as soon as we went out to do the test she was awful! Really stroppy, would'nt listen, tanking off! We are indoor dressage next week, so she better book up her ideas, or else!
But the comp was a success, think I made more on the bacon butties than entry fees, had completely sold out of bacon, sausage and coffee cups by the time we finished!
