Hi everyone,

My name is Kirsty and I am a freelance journalist.

I am looking for some case studies to accompany a survey on livery yards, that will feature in one of the top equestrian mags. I need to speak to FOUR people about their experiences.

The type of stories I am after are:

‘I’ve found the perfect yard’
‘Yard bullies made my life hell’
‘I travel for miles every day to get my yard’
‘I’ve changed yards (eg) 10 times in 10 years’

If you have any other interesting stories - whether they are good or bad - please get in touch.

I travel 40 miles(round trip) everyday to see my ponies as i can't stand Livery yards and sharing....does that count??

I USED to do an 80 mile round trip five times a week to ride my horse, at a well known competition centre... WAGs a plenty

Many reasons for leaving that one!

But now do 55 mile round trip to a very different, much smaller yard! I would say its perfect in terms of horse care, turnout, non bitchy people, on site trainer great, fab off road hacking... Only let down is no indoor school.
 
I can give you a piece about the YO from Hell but definitely no names or locations or I might wind up with something left in my bed...
 
I think I have found the perfect yard (at last!) and I have also been made miserable by bullies in the past. Again, I would rather be anonymous on the latter! I have also travelled a 60-mile round trip in the past - though no more!

Lovely YO, lovely liveries, good big airy boxes, AYTO, off road hacking, decent rubber school, its everything i have always wanted in a yard
