yard fashion- what forum to put in

Q1 Dark jods, yard boots, T shirt, fleece and down jacket at this time of year.
Q2 Dark jods, yard boots until just before my lesson, then jod boots and gaiters, t shirt, fleece and down jacket at this time of year.
Q3 White or beige jods depending on jumping or showing class, whatever trackie pants come to hand over the top, shirt with fleece over the top and down jacket at this time of year, yard boots. Just before class whip off trackie pants, fleece and yard boots, put on jod boots, gaiters, tie or stock and jacket.

Well this saves me some typing! as Above really, thanks cowpony.

For a project, I have three fashion questions.

Q1: what would you wear to go to the yard for a chill day (eg jack wills jogging bottoms)

Q2: what would you wear to go riding for a lesson (eg beige jods).

Q3: What would you wear for an early morning before show (eg onesie).
(Whole outfit for all of them)
Thanks-Don't know where to put this so putting here.

1. Whatever I grab first! Jeans/leggings/jogging bottoms/ jods with a long sleeved thermal top or t-shirt depending on weather and a hoodie/sweatshirt (no particular brand, I have some Joules, some Mark Todd, some from Primark and Matalan!) Wellies or Trainers in summer.
2. Normal jods (black/brown/navy), top as above. Mountain Horse riding boots.
3. Show clothes with jogging bottoms/leggings over the top unless I'm bathing (the horse) in the morning when I'll take show clothes and jogging bottoms to change into so I don't have to travel in wet clothes. Wellies/ trainers in summer.

Am I the only one who rides in jeans day-to-day? :o
Is that bad? Am I damaging the saddle or something?

Nope... I ride in jeans mostly too.. Unless I know I'm jumping or going on a particularly long hack! I buy Sainsburys 'boyfriend cut' jeans for riding. They are more generously cut over the hip and thigh making them super comfy for riding in! Plus at £20... Cheap as chips!

Not so much damaging the saddle, but don't you bruise your squishy bits on the jeans' centre seam <winces>?

No, thank god! Maybe it's how I'm shaped? :p.

No chafing issues either, Tern, I find breeches bad for that around the ankle though.

I wear the Topshop super-soft ones so maybe that helps too. I did ride in 'normal' jeans once and was a bit sore.

on a day as cold as today I layer everything in my wardrobe on.

If the final top layer matches on my top and bottom half = Equine chic

If the final top layer does not match on my top and bottom halves = Equine bohemian chic

Q1: anything goes really as mine are at home - Pjs are common in the morning and even bought horses in wearing a little black dress prior to leaving for dinner out. Mostly accompanied by a dirty warm long length padded and waterproof coat that must have pockets to fit gloves and various treats and a hoof pick and a cheap pair of fur lined green wellies (have done the whole branded boot game and seriously not worth it for the abuse I give them!). Ski gloves, any old hat - you get the theme. However I wouldn't be seen in any of this stuff outside home and even do cringe with embarrassment if someone catches me in horrible coat, wooly hat and green wellies unexpectedly !
Q2: for lessons/ hack out - don't wear any of the above! Always jodhpurs, tshirt, jumper, clean jacket, proper riding boots (short ones with gaiters or country boots)
Q3: smart cream jodhpurs etc and other comp stuff depending on what we are doing, with jumper/fleece and trackie bottoms over top to keep clean. Smart black long leather boots replace country boots at last moment.
