On the lid write the date you opened it, calculate how many doses in the tub there are, and then you should know when the tub should be finished by. Upto you if you want to write the end date on it too or just mark it down somewhere so around that date, you check the tub and then ask the YM if there is a lot left as then you have some evidence to non feeding.
Just means you have to wait a while to get the 'evidence' but you may find that writing the date on the lid makes the YM realises that you are keeping an eye on rate of use and starts giving the supplement as he is suppose to.
