Hi all, I'm looking for a riding school (or a trainer who has a horse I can ride) to have a lesson at least once a week. I have three children under four and just don't have time to have a share or to own my own at the moment (though the plan is that when my youngest goes to preschool I will go horse shopping!). I'm not looking for a run of the mill riding school - I'm looking for somewhere with good instruction up to BHSI and with schoolmasters, preferably to grand prix (dressage). I'm used to riding at an A5 centre (sadly in Hertfordshire) with instructors that have competed to Grand Prix on horses with a good competition career behind them and/or high school trained. Since moving to Horsham, I just can't find anywhere with the right horses or instruction - it's all been a bit basic. I'd appreciate any tips. I'm keen to keep my hand in until I have time to have my own horse again. Many thanks.

I am a livery at Julian's yard and he does do proper ridden lessons on his horses, not just lunge lessons. But not sure if any of the horses he has at the moment are trained up to grand prix though. He teaches on Saturdays and Sundays most weekends.

Oh that's good to know. In which case, I'll get in touch with him too. I liked his lessons. I don't think I have his contact details anymore - would you be able to pass them on?
