Yard storage - ideas and storage box recommendations

So I am looking to buy a couple of storage boxes to make up a fully stocked first aid kit, tack cleaning stuff, boot storage etc but am struggling to find any good quality boxes at a reasonable price.

Can anyone recommend any they have found good?

Also has anyone found any good storage ideas for the yard? I like everything to have its place!!
 
Tool boxes from DIY stores are good for grooming kits etc and usually can take a padlock and the best ones are sturdy enough to be used as a step for mounting too. If you get a few the same you can stack them up with the most used on top, and either store the saddle in top or throw a wet rug over them to allow it to dry off. Nails on the wall are good for storing everything from bridles to mucking out tools.
 
Probably too big for you but I have two big chest freezers. I keep feed in one (deep enough to hold bags upright) and rugs in the other. They are rat proof, which is why I like them. Got them both free from Facebook/freecycle.
 
IKEA do a really good range of clear storage boxes that range from small to big enough to store rugs in. I like them because they stack and you can see what is inside. The Range usually do reasonably priced storage boxes too.
 
For rugs I have a couple of strings across the back of my stable and tie the bags the rugs came in to the strings. Rugs in use are thrown over the strings, ones not in use go in the bags. I have a big wooden box to store everything else. It was made for me, but it isn't hard to do if you have some basic tools and woodworking skills. Echo the suggestion of toolkit boxes for grooming kit. Mine came as a set of 3, so you could probably use one for your first aid kit too. If you have a branch of The Range near you they are good for cheap plastic storage boxes.

For med stuff, I have 2 sets of plastic storage 4x drawer sets. These live on the work top in my feed shed.
One has meds, creams, sprays, stethoscope and thermometers etc in.
The other has poultices, nappies, bandages, gamgee, scissors, wound cleaning and treatment equipment in. Easy to just lift out and plonk on yard if needed.

I also have a 3rd one which is in the horsebox with broad spectrum of patching up stuff in etc.
All came from local supermarket :)
