No Rodents!
No Mud!
And maybe a nice warm tackroom

oh and all the horses to be friends!
 
im so sad, i have drawn my perfect yard, and its stuck on my wall ust incase i ever win the lottery :rolleyes: :p

It includes... paddocks, house, grooms house, lovely stables in a big square with tack room/washbays/feed room/small kitchen etc, with walker in the middle of it. Gallops, XC course, Indoor/outdoor school with full set of jumps. Lovely long drive, and much more!

Ahhhh.. a girl can dream :rolleyes:
 
My whole life I've dreamt about having my own yard and now I do I couldn't care less that I have to navigate 45% hills to reach the paddocks, or that the school is a 5 minute walk from the stables, or that the arena is neither covered nor floodlit and the the going too soft, or that the top doors to the stables do not open fully and so I've banged my head on them at least 5 times a day, or that the ground is wet and muddy and no amount of raking will make it look as clean and tidy as I want....it's all mine and it's just full of potential adventures! :D

not sad at all! great plan sounds like it would be a rather brilliant yard!

good dedication for your horses aslong as you enjoy it thats what it's all about

large indoor floodlit 50:50 rubber/sand school (the poly tunnel type so I could have decent natural light in the daytime. about 8 horses on yard, american barn style large stables with door at back of stables that opens out onto field. nice flat paddocks with woodland and river with xc jumps, poly jumps in school. My own 3 bed cottage onsite, my own lorry, area for coffee making, radio etc. Big feedroom with galvanised feed bins. Space to rotate fields and chain harrow - not poo pick.

Lush green grass
In my back garden
miles of off road riding preferbly woodland with a beach not too far.
Don't ask of much do i ;)
 
Dream yard

Old yard with indoor stables but windows (non glazed to the outside) with large mangers and old original hayracks and belfast sinks for their water with a hay loft over and drains in the middle of the floor. With an INDOOR walkway to an indoor school and an out door school both with a fibre sand/ rubber mix on them. There would also be a modern set of stables nextdoor to the old original part with a heated washbox and a warm dry tack room with a washing machine and dishwasher for the bits etc etc

Post and rail fencing around multiple individual paddocks with concrete paths to the gates.

Gallops (all weather) round the perimeter of the 150 acre plot with a cross country course running in the grounds.

Also a full set of lightweight show jumps and someone to put them up and down for me.


Oh and a farrier that actually comes when he calls and a groom to help out with shows and mucking out riding my 15 (or so) beautiful horses...

Oh and a horse walker...

Have I missed anything??? (Have I thought about this a little bit too much??)

Well when I win the euro millions I might manage it!;)
 
i'd like my own with my own friends who actually poo pick and help out!

I'd like big stables - the old brick ones with windows at the back looking over the fields as well as looking onto the yard.

Stables that are warm and cosy away from the wind and rain.

A lovely big indoor and an outdoor school

A xc course

A showjumping paddock or jumping lane

An all weather gallops

All this and a cottage to live in on site with a big roaring fire.

and just enough room for my horse, a few friends, a couple of llamas, 2 donkey's and a giraffe or two.

Nice brew area with some comfy old leather sofas to curl up on
good sized private tack rooms
loads of friendly knowledgable liveries to chat to.
