Can I have some yard recommendations please? Around Chorley, Leyland or Preston, I would prefer DIY or part.

Must haves are

Good turn out, Ideally 24/7 in summer and daily in winter.
A decent school with floodlights.
Lorry/trailer parking
Secure tack storage
Reasonable hours of access, (like most I need to do my horse before and after work.)
Nice people/atmosphere (I can't be bothered with yard politics)

Also any yards I should avoid (by PM if preferred)

Thank you very much.

I'm in the area and happy to help. The hardest thing will be turnout in winter - are you looking for full daily turnout or ok with an hour legstretch?

Yes, you're absolutely right the turnout is always the sticking point.

She really needs more than a leg stretch through the winter. Last year we got 3 days a week, but it was far from ideal.

I'll also be totally honest. I'm not that comfortable with horses standing in for 20+ hours a day for months on end :(. So part of this is about me feeling like I'm doing my best by her.

We could probably be happy with 4 to 6 hours a day through winter, but I may struggle to make that fit around work.

It doesn't have to be pristine fields, even grass free turnout would be fine. I'm more than happy to pay for extra hay in a grass free area.

Are you prepared to go Preston/Cottam way?
There is a yard that does winter turnout there .... well it used to.

As GI says, you will struggle for winter turnout.

There is a yard in Penwortham that used to advertise as all year turnout but when you moved on, the reality was far removed from the promise.
