Whats everyone doing for their Christmas nights out? We are going to see an ABBA tribute band accompanied by a three course meal and then wherever the night takes us after that :D

Local pub, local band, chips and sarnies :) We go there every year - take over about a 1/4 of the pub and have a good old gossip and a dance.

We're going for a pub supper. We make it a joint Xmas and birthday meal, cos its the YO's birthday now and mine next week.

We are a small yard, so there will prob be 6-8 of us there, but we have a laugh and try not to. Talk horse too much!

We are going to the Pub near the yard and "test driving" their christmas menu.

It is a pub under new management and they are doing us their christmas menu even though they don't really start serving it until the following monday, so it is a test run for them. There will be 20 of us including staff, liveries and some partners.

If my yard had a night out, it would just be me and my dog... Unless anyone knows of a restaurant in Essex which will let the horses in? :p

DH keeps moaning about not having a work Christmas do, I have suggested that he organises one as it could be tax deductable, but he is worried he'd be lonely what with being self employed.

Actually I know a pub up here that will let ponies in (actually inside to the bar) have never been in when a pony is in there but have met a hawk in there..... and a guinea pig, which was looking rather nervous about the hawk and the large number of lurchers present.

Haha bless, I can just see him sitting in a function room by himsef trying to pull his own cracker :(

That sounds like my sort of pub :D Poor guinea pig though

JFTD - it is a great pub, they will let anything in that will fit really as long as it doesn't order a pint of lager! There are normally more dogs than people in the pub, and you do lose your seat to a lurcher if you get up. It is a real country pub. They have proper fires, real ale, an eccentric landlord, the works. They serve food, including vermin pie, which is apparently rabbit, squirrel and pidgeon......

I think the others go out for a drink and/or a meal, but its a 35 mile round trip for me, I don't drink when I'm driving and I can't possibly afford a taxi. Couldn't afford a meal out if I'm being really honest too.

Coming from anyone else, probably not. But you? :D

Are you suggesting I have a reputation for lewd, inappropriate comments?

Awesome, how long will it take me to hack there from Essex? I wonder what exotic animal I could bring to be unique :p

And she knows that he wears Jodhs

In my head, he was wearing full riding gear at his lonesome Christmas night out cracker pulling fest, yes :o
