I am a student down in Cardiff and as you can imagine with anyone who is used to being really busy at home working with horses and looking after their own I get ridiculously bored when I am at uni! I love it there but it is too far to travel home and at the weekends I have nothing to do.

Just wanted to know if anyone was from the area and knew of any yards in Cardiff that needed any help doing stables and horse care etc? Happy to go unpaid if its not far to travel?!

Would rather help out at a private livery yard as opposed to riding school as a I really dislike children!

Hope you can help

I also wanted to add that I have had my own ponies and horses since I was one years old. I have also got all my pony club tests, riding road safety, BHS ride and road safety and BHS stage 1 and I have done my stage 2 training but school exams got in the way of me completing it.

I also have worked as a groom since I was 16 at two different yards.

LOL I really dislike children sorry this did make me laugh!

I hope you find somewhere to help out (and hope its paid as it never hurts to make a few bob when at Uni :) )

Ha I am worried people might take that the wrong way, but what I mean is I am more interested in mucking out, grooming, feeding, tacking up and riding then teaching kids how to tack up and then leading them around an indoor school why they try and tell me about all their friends lol!

Just want some jobs and to be with the horses. I know I must seem mad to be happy to do this unpaid but when you are used to being busy with horses all day and then you find yourself in the middle of the city with only expensive gyms to use you would just be grateful to be back on a yard again! but yes money wouldn't be turned down lol!
