I'm currently working in Bristol, and commuting in every morning. My horse is on diy, about 10 mins from home. Travel is costing me a packet, though, so I'm looking at relocating closer to my work. I could move anywhere within about 30 mins of work, which is in bishopsworth, south Bristol.

So I'm looking for a nice livery yard in that sort of area. Ideally I'd like an indoor, but could live without one. I'm on diy. Leyland court looks fantastic - anyone stabled there? Any other suggestions?

Cheers :)

Leyland court is great, but the travelling would be a nightmare from this side of town.. I'm in south bristol, diy on a farm. Have a look at Terri Hill on the A38, she's got a nice place. There are a few yards around Failand, Spotted Cat would know more yards than i do...

Leyland's fab.

My mare who's out on loan is stabled on DIY near Thornbury if that's any near you? I can try and find out where/prices etc if that's any help :)

South Bristol isn't really my area but SpottedCat and siennamum will be able to tell you lots of yards in that area.

I'm more South Glos/East Bristol and in that area there are indoors at Meadows, Bitton (trenybraincell on here is there) although I'd imagine they have a long waiting list and the Peternells place at hinton (although rather pricey) www.dressagehinton.com/
Leyland can be hell to get to in rush hour and I hear it is really bitchy there, this is only hearsay so I may be totally wrong.
As far as facilities go it's fab, three lovely arenas, derby jumping, xc, horsewalker . Also very cheap for what is on offer IME.

Thanks, I'll look at terri hill & maybe pm spotted cat.

Thanks, Binky, that'd be awesome, so long as it's not too much trouble :)

I'm quite flexible with regards to location, as I can look for a place to rent near the livery yard I choose.

Thanks; east Bristol is a possibility; I just want to avoid the bath road if poss. I was at hinton for a while, and it was lovely. No turn out in winter, though. That's interesting about leyland, thanks :)

When were you at hinton Nyfain? I was there too :D As monkeybum said I am now at the Meadows which is in Bitton, we have both and indoor and an outdoor school but currently no spaces

I was there from June - December last year, you?

Pity the meadows is full, I've heard good things about that yard.

Don't think we met... I was only down a few evenings a week, so I didn't really know anyone :o (don't want to name my horse in case someone from my yard is reading :p).
