V self indulgent, but I am so pleased with my boy!

We went off to Yately yesterday to do the first 2 classes - the unaff 80/90cm as we haven't been out for what seems like ages! M can sometimes be a little cheeky and trying (too clever for his own good!), so my my aim was to get him going nice and forwards.
SarahS came with us and warmed us up and he was going really nicely and was V calm.
The course was really nice, albeit long with some 14 jumps as they'd opened up the 2nd half of the ring.
Anyway, we went in and M was on fine form and absolutely flying, he didn't touch anything and on the way out they announced we were in the lead

.
Took M back for a breather, only to find out we'd WON!!!

Got back on for the 2nd class and he was just amazing again - really listening and no cheekiness! Went in, had another lovely but V fast round to come out to hear them announce that again we were in the lead

Cue V proud mummy!!
Took him back to get ready to go home, as we had a quick turnaround as we had to go and pick up Sarahs boy, to hear that we'd stayed in the lead and had WON again!!
2 rosettes and £24 - I am soooo pleased with him!!

Tbh the jumps were too small for him, but I just wanted him going forwards - his attitude was amazing throughtout, he just wanted to get on with jumping and I def think he wanted to win!

V self indulgent I know, but I'm realy pleased!

SJ-06 - The ground was very good there on sunday - apart from the warm up !

Well done!!
I wish I'd been a bit more prepared and had arranged to do the same as we haven't done much jumping on grass and it's so nice and low key there. Shame it was the last one as it's only 20mins from us.

You know, it's a bit like the "Funnell Factor" or Tim on Tour. You go off on your Autumn/Winter (soz it's my fashion background!

) tour with BT doing lecture demos... You know, demonstrate how to train a horse to take sweets out of your mouth!

K correct that ! How to train the competition horse to take sweets from your mouth in 2 days !
Saf - you need to go the back way - pirbright bends, a331, m3, it was really quick!

Well it was 20 mins on our 2nd trip!! I've learnt a lot about SS and her early morning directions!
First trip we left the yard at the same time as Connor and by the time we'd arrived they were tacked, studded, course walking and having brekkie!! "Savage................!!"

Sorry !!!!! Totally admitting now that when I kept saying its defo down here 100% - I actually had no idea !
Saf - just got what you meant about the ticket ! bullet!
