Well this morning was a big morning for Bria (a 5yr old mare i ride) it was her first dressage competition - and her first horse show EVER.
We turned up, got tacked up, got on - and the heavens open - i've never seen rain like it.
To warm up Bria was SO naughty - i honestly thought i was gonna get decked, wasnt fun. I didnt go out of a walk.....good preperation eh lol but she went into the test (in an indoor arena, shes never been indoors before) and performed beautifully, her first canter she changed legs so got marked down but the rest of the test was just lovely, really really impressed with her.

We came 8th with 55.5%

so chuffed with the little superstar - judge wrote some lovely comments two of which were 'horse has potential' and 'lovely rider position' so that was really encouraging.
So, for a horse that was booked into be shot a year ago as she was so dangerous, not such a bad try eh?! Really pleased
