Well didn't quite go as planned as father told me the wrong times and lost my hairnet so I got no dressage warm up, and was like 2nd last after it (last was eliminated in the dressage (???)
Had a pole down SJ but overall good.
XC was clear, got a rhythm for some of it but was hard work warming up, soon as he knows its xc time, all he will do is canter and pull. Got a lovely first couple of jumps though that I could just let him gallop on over to settle (rollers) and no bother with downhill, funny drops (fell off at one, only time he has EVER stopped) and turns, ditches( had a pony who used ot dump me in them, HATE them!) and water, no bother. So no bad since his only xc warm up has been over portables in a sandschool.
So ended up on 51, dressage put us on last but 2 (both elim!)
Sister did intro and ok dressage although horsey excited, clear SJ and two stops XC as she caught up with guy in front, whose horse stopped and then hers napped, she was cross, but then I pointed out the next horse had her horse and the other standing near the fence! And then she caught up with him again and he stopped, so she did too. Bit annoying, think they needed longer intervals as loads of the intros were catching up with each other as loads of problems!
But.
Overall an educational day.
Same venue next 2 weeks so should be fun.
