Yay, I am actually getting my Masters thesis published as an academic journal in Accident Analysis and Prevention and it should be out next year!! It is the first piece of road safety research into public attitudes to horse riders as road users. Title of the article below.

Thankyou for your replies It was a long hard slog to get here so I'm really pleased. I'm a Transport Planner by trade and my view is that horse riders are completely under represented as road users in the design of policy and practice. I am on a bit of a mission to get Transport professionals and academics to start considering road safety in terms of ALL vulnerable road users not just pedestrians and cyclists.
