Yay it is thawing!

Benn out to my lad this morning and the thaw has started...no frost today or ice on water and roads that were solid marble effect snow are starting to become slushy and soft...hoorah!!
And the best bit is I have only half a day at work to do and then I am on holiday for 10 whole glourious days...where I can see my horse in daylight and enjoy doing chores without a head torch on!!!!
Roll on spring...here we come!

Our yard and drive are worse today than they have been for a week, we had heavy rain last night and now have water on the ice , its like walking on a child's slide, the plus side is that I no longer have to cart water as the hose is working!!!!!!!!!!!Yipeeee

Same here .... I usuallly poo pick every day and whilst its been nice not doing it for a week its been slightly tainted by the fact that I know how much is there really! And now the snow is thawing, so is the poo appearing which means poo picking again...... And the mud and wet ....arghhhhhh

No xmas eve hack here either. It was just beginning to thaw yesterday and then we had rain followed by more snow. Poor Daisy was skidding about like Bambi when i led her across the yard this morning.

yes, had a covering of snow here again last night, still ice here too, will be like a ice rink in the morning follwoing yet another hard frost!!! but it is thawing, very slowly i must admit.
