Some of you might remember I posted a few days ago about my mare loading perfectly and then freaking out during travel. Had tried on the left, then on the right, with another horse, without another horse. next step was to take away the partition altogether, and YAY! One very happy (and diagonal) horsey. All she needed was room to balance herself.

Apparently she used to travel perfectly with a partition, but she has changed her mind now and likes some extra space. As long as she's happy, I'm happy! Thanks to those who gave me the helpful advise the other day, much appreciated!

Thats great news, we found the same with my daughters 1st pony, loaded and travelled no problems for ages and then all of a sudden started refusing to load, upon investigation found that she was leaning really heavy on the side of the trailer and falling.

She too was struggling to balance herself, took out the partitions installed full width breast and breeching bars and hey presto, problem solved, one happy stress free pony who would walk into the trailer on her own.

brilliant news! you are not the only one...

my friend has a large IDxTB mare who did not load well at all & travelled unsteady. they removed the partition & had the single bar, the mare now loads nearly perfectly & travels diagonally too!
