As a lot of you know my horse was kicked in the field on xmas day and chipped a bone in his leg near his stifle. The vets originally said dont even think about getting on him until september time. He has ben in at night and in a 20ft x 20ft woodchip paddock since then in the day
He has been xrayed again today and the vet said this should be the last time!!

And today he has gone out in a proper field with grass and next to his friend who also is recovering from injury.

And I can ride him for 20mins in walk, in straight lines on sunday!!!! so excited. then we have 4-6 weeks walking then can hopefully start trotting and the vet said provided everything goes as it should there no reason why he cant compete by the end of the season!!

Yay!! So happy just had to share!!

Great news and I hope all goes well and the weather stays good for you getting back on.
I was given the go ahead last November and the next day my idiot child went through the fence and gave himself a horrific injury to his chest and leg, he cocked his back up as he somersaulted over it, he had physio and the osteo earlier this week and I have another go ahead however I'm swathed in bandages on my right hand following the 3rd set of surgery to it. One day we will actually get together and I will get on him again!
