I have a yearling welsh section a colt and i am unsure if he has a respiratory problem or something else and would like your opinions! He is generally bright and lively in himself and eats well. He is out 24/7 and is fed on hifi original, spillers youngstock pellets and garlic twice a day.
I have noticed sometimes he seems to make a strange growling/burping sound, it sometimes occurs when he is eating and other times not, he can just be standing there. I cant decide if its more of a rattle or a sniffle but the thing that puzzles me is that he has no nasal discharge, it seems to be coming from further down his respiratory tract.
Any ideas on what it may possibly be? Could it just be an infection? i am puzzled.
