The first thing that I need to do is to update you on the yearlings situation. He is very well looked after and loved. The owner had indeed made the PTS comment, but it had been made in a moment of despair (I'm sure that anyone who's had no end of unsuitable people calling about a youngster that needs an experianced puchaser will understand the depression that sets in when idiot number 100 rings up) and he is not going to have anything bad happen to him.

He is lovely, although only lightly handled and as I have been gripped by some kind of madness :rolleyes: I'm going to go back for a second viewing.
 
Yay! Been waiting all day for the news.... glad to hear he is in no danger, that's a relief.
So can you reveal his breeding yet? I love looking at my Arab horse 'porn' as my OH refers to it.... :o One of my most used websites is Allbreedpedigree :)

I took my camera and I *whispers* forgot to take any photos. Sorry.

If I end up getting him, I'll definately do a thread with lots of photos. I am still undecided at the mo because he is in a nice home (although they really would like to rehome him) as I wasn't thinking of having another yet. I'm still in shock over the whole thing and the emotion of it all, even though it's partly a big misunderstanding. IYKWIM.
 
Yeah, wouldn't it be better to take him now and teach him his manners early, rather than let him stay in his lovely home for now but with minimal handling, so he's not further on in terms of manners next summer?
 
Never heard of a sensible hat? I would postulate that anyone with horses definately does not own one of these!

Go with your heart. You have to want him if your going to work with him over the coming years. When I last bought a (arab) horse, there was a frissom (sorry about spelling), an electric charge that made me tingle & I knew she was the one. Conformation far from perfect, largely unhandled, unbroken, never stabled before & going loopy from being put in one for first time with no company about. I felt something when I saw her (despite the flying poo), then when I saw her trot she took my breath away. I spent the first year wondering how I was ever going to learn to rise to that huge trot, but over time I did & now it just feels like flying, she spends so much time in the air & barely touches the ground in between.

Go back, look again, take your time & don't put yourself under pressure.

How very dare you!!! I was expecting extreme cuteness on this thread, what a let down :(
As for your moment of madless, If I only had "moments" of madness I would be sane :eek: :D

You had better buy him, I want pictures!! :mad:
