Yellow Fly Cream ?

Might be a silly question but is Battles Summer YELLOW Fly Cream the best thing for repelling midge and fly bites on mares udders ? Poor pony mare really suffers in the summer so want to get ahead of myself - even though midges were out last night :-(

I use it on my gelding's sheath and it does help a lot.

Do a really good patch test first. I thought I had and then used it on my geldings sheath but then he had a very bad reaction and needed a vet visit.

I use the EqWax repellents instead, they are soft waxes that you can sponge on around sheathes and udders and contain insect repelling oils. Very effective, long lasting and don’t stain like summer fly creams.

Which fragrance do you use? My 2 get little black flies on their sheaths and belly line. I was thinking of trying these out but wasn't sure which one to go for.
