Long drive??? it was held at my local indoor arena (for BSJA), so not a long drive!!
I'm guessing things have changed a bit since i did it.. i did it the first year they ever held it.. it was only for under 21s, you got to walk the course with the judge/trainer first, then do your round, you were marked for faults or clear rounds, and for style, although i think style made up more of the mark.
Ive got it through this morning, im going to try and do the one at thame as it's not that far and easy journey, see what its like
it would be interesting to hear what others think thou
Hx
I did it a few years ago and won so qualified for champs..but could not go. Got judged on rhythm, planning turns and riding straight to fences and keeping in a balance forward stride..which I know is easier said than done. Worth doing as something to put on your horse and your CV, and you might win. Good luck
I did it couple of years ago, was good to jump the decent sized track twice but I found the 'trainer' useless and not constructive at all- I'd rather pay for my own trainer.
