Yes, it is in America - but COME ON!!

Scary. Could be for rodeos or horse whispering demo or film/stunt work. Or could be worse, some sort of sick event to show "man's mastery over the wild beast". Hope they have absolutely no luck at all.

Odd...most people here would know that to obtain a wild mustang all you have to do is go to any BLM auction or go here

https://www.blm.gov/adoptahorse/

It is about $150

People like them for many reasons but this man sounds like an idiot

They also have strict adoption criteria that he may not meet so that makes it even more scary

Well clearly that guy is out to lunch and probably does want something "exciting" ('cause there's no one here that does that . . . Project Horse, anyone?) but it is possible what he wants is a Mustang, in which case, as JW says, he just needs to go to the BLM.

Lots of people like the Mustangs for the romance of it (and probably shouldn't have one then) but some people who live in the West want them because the do make excellent train/ranch/work horses for that terrain if you get them sorted. The BLM has tried to do some herd improvement over the years to make the horses more marketable - not to mention that the situation takes care of anything unsound or weak - so it's not like they're just lousy horses that escaped from somewhere and bred indiscriminately.

Are we sure he means a mustang, not like przwalskis (oh I'm so sorry, that's my best shot at the spelling) or something, for some sort of research project, for example?

Judging by the presentation of the request I think that might be a little more thinking than this fellow has put into it . . .

It would make sense, given the use of "wild" rather than "feral" but I'm still going with "Spirit of the West" rather than Equine Genome Project.

There is someone in California, I think, who breeds Zebra crosses and actually shows them!! Interesting.

There's a guy in France who crossed a Zebra and tamed it usign the Parelli method if I remember correctly. Stormy the Zorse i think they called it.. he does natural horsemanship shows with him and I think they're becoming more popular, although they are proving temperamental!

As for the advert, sounds ridiculous! But then again it's from America!

I don't know . . . I was SCHOOLED to be anti-American (try living next door to them!

) but I think there's some pretty wacky stuff going on here, too.

Crazy is crazy, wherever you go.

That's not the zebra blood it's the Parelli method coming through

Do you have to use a different colour stick with a Zorse? We should be told.
