I don't bother to insure my horses - my old lad wouldn't be covered for most things and the pony is worth nothing so have always just had money aside for vets bills and liability through BHS gold membership. But now I have a rather stunning loud leopard spot grade B appaloosa colt and am terrified someone is going to pinch him! Is it worth insuring him just incase? I think I am being a bit OTT, but what is the likelihood of him being stolen? I'm thinking very low and I'm just being my normal panicing self! Since he is so distinctive, does that make it less likely or the fact that he is desirable make it more likely? It'll cost me £20 a month to insure solely against death theft and straying. I am guessing that is better put towards increased security - but what?
