feeling uber p*ssed off!
for those of you following my story.. me and my mare have just 3 weeks to go until signed off from vet to be back into full work.
This morning I come to a field where she has barged the electric fencing down (was planning on saving this grass for the winter). I got on to ride and LAME!!! Bearing in mind just a few weeks ago she bucked me off on a hack and galloped full force a mile home on the concrete! YM thinks right hind, but cold hosed both legs to be sure.
I'm going to go back up this afternoon to hose her again and trot her up to see if any improvement. I have called my vet for some advice, waiting to hear back.
I can't box rest her again, even for a week as no other horse is on the yard and will stress her out and bring on ulcers.
What have other people done in this situation? Do 'knocks' happen? Terrified after all I've been through this year that it's something more serious and depending on what it is, may not be covered by insurance.
