Yet another "what do you think of..."

Personally I like him. I don;t know about where you are but isn't 3k a bit much for a 4 year old with no history and is un-redgistered? Correct me if I am wrong!

yeah, do you reckon i could make an offer??
me thinks he very cute > helps in the depths of winter!

and if you have heard anything about him worth knowing, pm me!

I would pay nearer to 2k, with a passed vetting 2300??? Doesnt have much experience so your sister would have to teach him to jump etc away from home as the ad doesnt say he has ever been out????

It's no way a full haflinger, doesn't even look like a half! We paid £1300 for a fully registered, well bred, 14.2hh 4 yo Haflinger so....I do think that's a wee bit pricey. Plus if it is a Haflinger it shouldn't have been backed until it was 4 so going by the photos it could end up with back problems.

club caballo...i think its some kind of group that the people who own the stud farm that he's at are in.

What i find ridiculous is that they want £4000 with all tack and rugs!

so basically there is no way he's worth £3000? he sounds like a nice genuine horse but i dont think hes going far!

...is it just me or is there nothing about that horse on the clubcaballo forum, where they just shamelessly plugging?

He looks alright to me... i'd grow that mane though! Maybe a bit pricey, but people seem to be getting away with it atm so... Tbh I think look on the pony club website, best place for competition ponies to have fun on!

If you buy him & do some jumping with him are you going to be honest about his height? He's advertised as being 14h3" so he's not a pony! You'd have to jump him against horses.

His height being 14h3" weighs against him & brings his value down ....if you want him for jumping.

Looks like quite a nice pony, but like htobago I wondered if he had sweet itch...no other reason to cut off a lovely Halfinger mane

Anyway, if he does the job and your sister is happy and feels safe on him, go for it

I would push the point that a 4 yo Haflinger jumping now WILL have back problems in later life, you aren't supposed to back them until there are 4 as their bones develop slower than other breeds. And that I wouldn't even pay that much for an unproven registered full Haflinger...

I also wondered why it had been hogged, sweet itch was my firtst thought.
