Too start off with a rush to get ready for the dressage whichwasnt helped by the fact i couldnt get the blinking studs in the stud holes!! Didnt leave long enough to get warmed up and did a ba test where she flopped coming up the centre line. The dressage judge didnt like my riding saying that i shouldnt try to push the horse out of her stride!! But she wasnt even working from behind and so that was why i was working so hard to get her steepping under!!

But we got a 38.6 which left us about halfway down.

SJ she pinged round clear which iwas really pleased with as she ahs been getting careless with the plastic poles!!

XC was eventfull as we had a tumble in the warm up!!

Horse decided to leave half a stride out, paddle in mid air, get legs tangled in the fence and then stumble on landing!!
All mum could see of us over the hedge was my head and horses taking off then nothing then rider flying through air then horses head!!

Was sent off to the doctor with me thinking 'damn it i wont be able to continue' but they said wi was fine so off we went!!
Got round clear with 4 time penalties due to horse and i being a bit shaken but we got into our stride and pinged round!!
We came 9th so was happy with that but i really need to start riding for the time!!
Now for a few photos!!

Well done I have a feeling I was stood right next to you at the prize giving.

How long is your work placement might see you up there as I take the horses up when I can. You should have fun and learn a lot. Good luck.

Poor you but sounds pretty successful. Look forward to catching up with you at Aldon finally!

My second ever aff event, in the XC practice a guy about three before me fell off and bust his leg (didn't do much for my confidence, don't know about his!!). Think esp if the weather is dodgy and ground churned up, things can happen which wouldn't normally.
Glad you were able to get back on and have a good round.
Good luck for your work placement.
Fiona
