Having booked YHL weekend off work (:D) I am just having a quick gander at the tickets now.
Are the VIP tickets worth the extra money? Whenever I have been before I have just bought the standard tickets and not struggled to find a seat during the demos. The goody bag, tea and cake in particular is making me consider buying a VIP ticket.........but that of course would mean less money to spend there :( decisions decisions.

What day are you planning on going and are will you be one of the VIPs or will you be in the cheap seats :p

Cheap seats for us! Hopefully going on the saturday, I'm very excited as didn't go last year. It was too depressing as I didn't have a horse to buy for.

I've been saving up for ages so I can pamper my little horror! :)

I am definitely going, both days, just need to find a hotel. :) Have never struggled to find a good seat, the vip tickets sound like a waste of money to me so i personally Will stick to cheap tickets

Considering I have never found a problem finding a seat (touch wood I haven't jinxed it for this year) and I am not going to want to see all of the demos I can't help but think they may not be worth it. Like I said it must be the cake drawing me towards them :D
I am going to have to do some serious saving, silly me booking a holiday I should have just saved it for Nov :p

Me and the OH are going to go this year, he actually mentioned it the other day and wants to go as he enjoyed it last time, can't even remember how much the standard tickets were, was a few years a go when we went, how much are the stardard and VIP ones this year?

Really?! I don't think any of ours have actually booked yet because we were going to go for the group discount - any idea when the BOGOF was available last year?

We also bought the BOGOF tickets last yr thanks to a v kind forum-ite posting the password needed.
As I recall it only came through 2-3 weeks before the show-so I too am holding out as we are going for 2 days again.
My Mum who is in her 70s wanted to go for the VIP tickets for no other reason than she hates tackling those wooden steps down to the carpark in the dark, but i managed to talk her out of it-they seem a bit of a rip off-maybe if they are still available when the half price offer comes about (fingers crossed it does) then I may reconsider.

Cant wait to go :D but only going on the saturday as thats all my mom could book off :( We're only getting cheap tickets as thats all ive got last year and could get seats :D xx

Adult £16.50/£21.00
Concession/Student £13.50/£16.00
VIP £65 so there is a big difference.
Hmmmm wonder if my OH would be interested, could do with an extra pair of hands for the shopping :D

I've never been to yhl I usually go to horse of the year show. Was thinking of going to yhl instead but can't decide?!?

Is there more shops? And is it more demonstrations/clincs as appose to competitions?

Can't decide, but hoy show costs be about £50 for a decent seat and my 5 year olds ticket isn't much cheaper! £16 for me and free for under 5's seems very appealing!

Sorry I can't quote using my useless phone grr.
Yes horses24-7 YHL is demos rather than competitions, there is a schedule on the YHL website. I have not been to HOYS (:() before but the shopping is amazing you would not be disappointed by the shopping!
