YO made me cry.... (rant :( )

Do YO's get training in customer service? Doubt it & to be fair to this person, we only know one side of the story. It should be remembered there are 3 sides, each persons version, because they will only put their view point across, & the truth. I am not taking up for the YO, & not sure all the blame lays with the poster when the horse is on full livery, but if the YO has mentioned the weight before, then perhaps they are feeling frustrated that nothing seems to have changed.

It will be interesting to see what the vet has to say. The positive thing here is that the people concerned are interested enough in the horses welfare to take action.

Was the vet visit yesterday or next thurs ? Let us know the outcome, and post some recent pics otherwise can't comment, you are doing the right thing, I think every mummy is sensitive about their horse, I don't quite understand the YO having a go at you when your horse is on full livery, what is it fed etc

I've not looked at photos of the OP's horse but I do feel the YO could have been more sensitive, however... my anglo is a good doer and my RI once said that she looked like a beached whale... it made me laugh so hard that I cried!

It also kicked my arse into gear and I've never let her get that big again.

Yard owners sometimes have a hard job with over sensitive liveries and no matter how tactful and helpful they try to be there is always one that takes things the wrong way. I'm not saying this is the case for OP but it can be so frustrating.

OMG have I just put the cat amongst the pigeons!!
Sorry that was not meant as a dig at OP

I think this is a bit of a historic post.

If I remember rightly NW1 updated to say Vet has said horse was heading towards being a bit portly but was ok at the Mo.

NW1 and YO made up and all is well. NW1 is keeping an eye on her Horse weight wise to make sure he doesn't get any bigger.

Someone correct me if I am wrong?

Yep, this is an old thread.

Vet said the horse was fat but not obese (nearly 7/10 condition score), which is pretty standard for show horses :(
