Anyone familiar with the place and what happened?

I drove past the other day and while I vaguely knew it was now a 'creepy crawlies' playground thing, I was a bit gutted to see it. But I did notice they still had a big sign up saying 'York Riding School'. I thought about calling in on my way back to see but I forgot and missed the turn!

Just looking it up on Google maps now and it's so sad to see the old layout - the offices where you came in, the stable block, the massive indoor, the house where we used to be fed on riding holidays :) Most of it looks like carpark and - a go kart track perhaps?! But there does seem to be something like an outdoor school further back.

Can anyone fill me in on what happened? Anyone there until recently? Or is it still a business? I'm just curious - I had a few lessons there (though it wasn't local to me) and used to go on the riding camps in the 90s. All seems a bit sad... :(

I don't know what happened to it, but if you rode there in the 90s, can I ask if you knew a pony called Wharf Imperial/Indiana Jones/Isaac/ Mustard? Not sure what name he was going under then, but I know he was there for a while. He was chesnut, 13h, white blaze and a couple of socks, Welsh x arab, very fizzy and fast. The owner told me he'd excelled at working hunter, and xc, but had been sent to market and sold to the meat man, because a tendon had gone.
