We had a fab ride today at Escrick Park, sadly marred by one injury:( One of our riders fell at a jump and hurt her arm, and was going to go for an x-ray:eek: Hopefully she'll be OK though.

Here are some pics I took (please excuse the shakiness, my mount was not too keen on going slow today:p )

Having the shortest legs, we spent most of our time at the back, but it was fun to canter to catch up:D

For comedy value, my darling horse decided that having a roll when I was sat on him would be fun, so my commando roll is now perfected:rolleyes::D

Thanks for a fab day everyone, and it was lovely to meet you all:)

damn, i wanted to go but Stencilface (sister) robbed the horsebox for the weekend! However, turned out it didn't matter seeing as my horse decided that after being shod on friday, one of his front feet is rather sore so turns out i wouldn't have been ablt to go anyway! :-(

We had a fab time! And thank you to whoever arranged the weather!:D

Really hope Daisybee's friend is ok.:( It looked quite nasty.

Thanks to everyone who came, and sorry you forgot Mollymoomin, but we're hoping to do it again another time.

We raised £55 for WHW, which is brilliant!! Well done everyone and it was so nice to meet you all.:)

hi

she has a badly displaced fracture and is in hospital overnigt waiting to go into surgey in the morning to have it pinned. I thought she was very brave!!!!!

I'm glad everyone had a good rest of the ride though and thanks for everyones help xxx

I thought she was brave falling off and still wanting to make sure everyone else carried on and enjoyed themselves never mind having a fracture!!! Hope she is on the mend soon.

It was my OH who was riding the coloured; he's 6ft2 and the horse is 14.3hh so his legs were aching.

I had a fun time, was nice meeting everyone and the roll was fab, very graceful!!!! :)

Oh Crikey, the poor lass, really sorry to hear that, she was very brave indeed considering her injury and needing surgery, hope she recovers as quickly as possible ((hugs)).

Yes we had a great time and a huge massive thank you to Chickeninabun for taking me and Mr M, also her lovely sensible and very patient Molly for holding Mr Mackenzie's hoof in the trailer and also Rubysgold and her parents for helping loading him up on the way home (when he decided he rather liked it at Escrick Park) and the life saver bag of pears! lol....don't ask!

I'd also like to thank Orangepony and her Orange horse....yes it really is orange! lol for escorting Mr M over his first XC jumps which he seemed to rather enjoy once he found his wings, he really tried his little heart out bless him, a day I'll never forget, thanks to some great people off here.

It was nice to put some faces to some names and I apologise if I didn't get chance to have a chin wagg with everyone as I wanted to keep him settled and not too bunched in just in case he acted up etc, hope you all enjoyed it and great to meet you all.

Only managed to take a few pics that didn't blur....

My little superstar *grins*

:eek: OMG!! Wow she was very very brave, please do pass on our best wishes xx

Hi

Great to meet you all on Sunday Callie my young mare and I really enjoyed the ride and thanks to K and Murphy the Orange horse for taking us on our first ride and float outing.

I think we may (there was talk of it) of meet up again near Christmas, think we’ll have to leave the nags behind on this on lol but it would be nice I think if we had a bit of a ‘Crimbo Meet Up’, dinner, drinks and all that jazz???

Or if anyone fancies meeting up again at a venue in Yorkshire with the horses before the bad weather starts I’m sure most of us would be up for it, hopefully I’ll have some transport sorted by then or can hire a trailer and bring an extra body along. :)

Had such a fantastic day. Will have to do it again soon :)
I should mention that Roos lead rope is tied like that because the clip broke.
Daisybes sister was very very brave and i hope she's recovering well.
Fjordhorsefan, the roll was very unexpected and i couldn't help laugh, very elegant lol

Sarahs op went well yesterday - she is still in hospital though as her blood pressure is low and her feeling in her thumb isn't right.

I might come to the next time with my more respectable and well behaved crew!! (horses that is not sister - she was quite well behaved!)

and I'm definately up for drinks at Xmas it's nice to meet horsey people outside of the immediate area xx

Really glad to hear the op went well, hope she can come out of hospital ASAP :)

Group photos arent as good as I hoped they'd be :(
Sorry Fjord horse, mum didnt wait for you two to be properly in the first photo :o But you are in one of them :)

Poor Sarah, I hope she gets let out soon.

I was on the phone to Escrick today to comment on their emergency numbers..... they asked after Sarah and said they had tried to ring her mobile, wanted their best wishes passed on and to keep them informed of her progress.

I'm up for another meet up, horses or otherwise

tl x

I'm up for another meet with or without the horses. The group photos are fab and really show how gorgeous the weather was.

I hope Sarah gets well soon, blooming horses!!!

Hi all.

Thanks for all your well wishes. I'm home from hospital now after having my arm pinned and plated. Some nice fancy metal work to set the airport detectors off :D

I really enjoyed the ride (what I managed to do of it) and was a bit gutted that I couldn't get back on to finish it. Although in hindsight it probably wouldn't have been the best idea :D

Thank you for all your help. To the lady who's dad took me to hospital and to the lady that rode back to help Stacey (I'm sorry I can't remember your names)

Daise I'm pleased you thought I was well behaved enough to go again although I think I'll leave the jumping out next time.

Sarah

So glad to hear you are out of the hospital
have they given you plenty of painkillers, or are you not too bad?

No problem regarding my dad taking you to hospital, hope my dogs werent too naughty about the idea!!

Must have another meet up soon :D

Glad to hear you are out of the hospital - can't believe how brave you were then and especially now reading everything you went through afterwards. You were jumping well til those last two fences. Hope to see you at the next meet!
