As title really – I have booked a long weekend in March staying in Malham, for me, OH and a couple of friends. We would like to do a couple of hours trekking round the country side while we are there and would need somewhere that can accommodate both experienced and beginners. My OH, who is a novice, would love to try riding in a western saddle so if anyone knows somewhere which caters for this all the better!

I have looked on the internet but it is difficult to tell the standard of the places just from their website so if anyone has got any recommendations for me it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If you want to try western and don't mind a bit of a journey to the other side of Huddersfield there is always Rocky's Ranch. You can do a 4 hr ride which includes going to a pub for lunch. There are shorter rides too.

Would defo recommend kilnsey, they only take experienced riders and take you for a canter early on to check before going up on the moors, good value, good horses (not dead to the leg numpties).

Another vote for my friends at Kilnsey!!

Your OH will love it if he's a beginner - trouble is, he'll want to return !!
Cannot recommend the centre enough :D

Late to - incorrect - they specialise in accomodating beginners and take out more than one ride leader where required, in order to facilitate enjoyment of all riders no matter what level they are at!
